These terms are an agreement between you and [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME], [OPERATOR ADDRESS] ("we", "us", "Libertoo"). They cover this website and the Libertoo product. By using the site, creating an account, or subscribing, you agree to them. We have written them in plain language on purpose.

1. Who can use Libertoo

Libertoo is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to use it. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18. If you are under 18, please do not use Libertoo — a parent, school counselor, or doctor is genuinely a better path, and we mean that.

2. What Libertoo is — and what it is not

Libertoo is coaching and self-improvement software. It is not therapy, not medical care, and not mental-health treatment. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, and using it does not create a therapist–client, doctor–patient, or any other professional–client relationship. The coach is an AI, not a licensed professional.

Libertoo is a tool, not a substitute for professional care. If you are dealing with something deeper than a habit you want to change — trauma, compulsions you cannot dent, escalating distress — please involve a qualified professional. Libertoo will tell you the same thing.

If you are in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, do not rely on Libertoo. Contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately — findahelpline.com lists options worldwide.

3. Free tier and subscriptions

The core app — journal, slip log, progress, and games — is free to use. The AI coach is a paid subscription.

  • Price. The coach subscription is $2.70 per month. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout; we will not raise the price of an active subscription without your consent.
  • Refunds. Within 7 days of first payment you can get a full refund, no questions asked, directly from a button in the app's settings.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel in one tap via the customer portal, any time. Cancellation stops future billing; your subscription runs until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Billing descriptor. Your bank statement will show a neutral line — our payment provider's generic prefix plus the brand name (e.g. "LEMSQZY* LIBERTOO"). Nothing on your statement says what the product is about.
  • Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as our merchant of record — the seller of record for the transaction — under its own terms. Lemon Squeezy handles applicable sales tax/VAT collection.

4. Affiliate disclosure

Libertoo participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, Libertoo earns from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links are always labeled on the pages where they appear, never affect the coaching you receive, and never change the price you pay.

5. Acceptable use

Libertoo exists to help you. In exchange, we ask for the basics:

  • Do not abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service.
  • Do not attempt to access, extract, or decrypt other users' data.
  • Do not scrape the site or the product with automated tools, or resell access to it.
  • Do not use the service to break the law, or attempt to use the coach to generate content the product's safety rules prohibit.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these rules. If we do, we will act proportionately, and any unused subscription time is handled under the refund terms above.

6. Your content and our content

  • Yours stays yours. You own everything you write in Libertoo — journal entries, conversations, your profile. We claim no ownership and no license beyond the minimum technically required to store and process it as described in our privacy policy (and your stored content is encrypted so we cannot read it).
  • Ours stays ours. The Libertoo site, product, name, design, and all content we publish are our intellectual property or that of our licensors. Do not copy or reuse them beyond what normal personal use of the service involves, without our permission.

7. Disclaimers

Libertoo is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to make it reliable and useful, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or right for your particular situation, and we make no guarantee of any specific outcome — behavior change is yours to do; Libertoo is a tool that helps. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in this section limits warranties or rights that consumer law does not allow us to disclaim.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or lost profits or data, arising from your use of Libertoo; and our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it — including for our own gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where such liability cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION] — except where the consumer protection law of your place of residence gives you rights or a venue that cannot be taken away by contract, in which case those apply.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For meaningful changes we will give notice in the app before the changes take effect, and update the date at the top. If you keep using Libertoo after a change takes effect, that is acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and, if you have an active subscription, the cancellation and refund terms above apply.
